A CSR certified professional and a graduate of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, Rania is also a BCorp-Leader and a Climate Reality Project Leader, helping commercial enterprises assess their business models from an ESG-lens and defining their sustainability strategies. With multicultural life experiences in Brazil, Russia, Syria, Switzerland, Japan and Tanzania, she has a 25 years’ international work experience in the private and public sector. After working across the EMEA region in sales, business development and project management - mainly in fragrances, cosmetics and biotech – she joined UNICEF Geneva and Dar Es-Salaam (Tanzania) in CSR, focusing on business and human rights, and in private sector engagement around multiple development programmes. She then worked for six years in the Geneva innovation ecosystem managing the GCC, a platform at the interface of university applied research and Swiss tech enterprises and startups, fostering collaboration and open innovation. Having merged the GCC with the State-funded Office for the Promotion of Industries and Technologies, Rania has since focused on social entrepreneurship and sustainability innovation projects as Mentor and Business Consultant, as well as talent acquisition assignments.
